About this Blog
I set up this blog so that I could explain my investment process. That is the process I follow in deciding whether to buy part of a business (i.e shares). If this is your first visit to my blog I recommend you read backwards from my oldest posts to my latest posts.
About Me
I am an investor based in Brisbane, Australia. I invest my own capital. I previously worked for a private hedge fund in Bermuda and Bankers Trust in Sydney, Australia.
I call myself the fallible investor because I often make errors when I invest. Recognising such a weakness is also useful. As Taleb says:
“Soros… knew how to handle randomness, by keeping a critical open mind and changing his opinions with minimal shame… he walked around calling himself fallible, but was so potent because he knew it while others had loftier ideas about themselves. He understood Popper. He lived the Popperian life.”[1]

Great blog
A humble approach is always best
I am finding quite a few interesting Australian companies at the moment.
Infomedia and Tel Pacific for example, still have to research them though
Thanks for the compliment.
An Australian subscription based investor service has done a number of articles on infomedia. Their website is here. http://www.intelligentinvestor.com.au/
I have no association (other than being a subscriber) to this service.
Wow, one of the best blogs on the topic. Not easy, but understandable for guys who haven’t done business school.
congrats!!
Finally, another Australian value investing blog! When will you update the site?
