About this Blog
I set up this blog so that I could explain my investment process. That is the process I follow in deciding whether to buy part of a business (i.e shares). If this is your first visit to my blog I recommend you read backwards from my oldest posts to my latest posts.
I am an investor based in Brisbane, Australia. I invest my own capital. I previously worked for a private hedge fund in Bermuda and Bankers Trust in Sydney, Australia.
I call myself the fallible investor because I often make errors when I invest. Recognising such a weakness is also useful. As Taleb says:
“Soros… knew how to handle randomness, by keeping a critical open mind and changing his opinions with minimal shame… he walked around calling himself fallible, but was so potent because he knew it while others had loftier ideas about themselves. He understood Popper. He lived the Popperian life.”
